Benjamin moving the chicken tractor
We moved some of the Freedom Rangers to the pasture in this portable chicken coop a week or so ago. We move it daily, thus allowing them fresh grass. Half of the pen has a tarp on it and the other half is open for sunlight. Note the waterer is simply a 5 gallon bucket with 4 chicken nipples on bottom; this also adds weight to the coop to keep it down during high winds (move coop when water is low 
). Total size is 14ft x 6ft. There are 50 chickens in this coop allowing 1.6 sq ft per chicken. So far so good – it survived two thunderstorms with no problems .
